While not part of the Seven Springs Farm Breeding program, Hey-Pone was Wendy’s very first Connemara Pony — and the inspiration behind the current breeding program. Hearty and correct, he was a perfect example of the Connemara breed. From the age of 10 - 32 Wendy competed Hey-Pone and was always in the ribbons in Dressage and Combined Training. According to Wendy Hey-Pone was “the funest pony a girl could have.” In his later years, Hey-Pone was used in the Seven Springs Farm lesson program and as a baby sitter for the colts and young horses. He was always a favorite at the farm, roaming the property unfenced. Sadly, Hey-Pone passed away in 2004 at the age of 35.
